R & D Activities :
- Technical and feasibility study for LNG small scale project at CGS stations
- Ultrasonic gas flow meters (custody transfer applications)
- Continuous presence in specialized panels and workshops and presenting papers in seminars and conferences on CNG and metering fields in territory since 2012 until now.
Big Energy Loss in CGS!
- After extraction and refining, natural gas is transported through the transmission lines with pressure 1000 psi. But this pressure drop must be consumed at the beginning. This reduction operation takes place in stations known as “City Gas Station”. There are different sizes of pressure reducing stations, the largest of these stations are located at the connection points of high-pressure national gas transfer pipelines to the city rings. In these stations, now pressure reducing valves applies for this purpose. Means the pressure reduce from 750-1000 psi to 250 psi. This is a big ENERGY LOSS.
- The energy lost in this process is significant for about 1600 existing CGS stations in the territory and depends on the amount of passing gas in different seasons of the year and the amount of downstream consumption (for each station in different capacities between 1.5 and 7 MW). The results for major CGS in territory shown its approximate average SUM around 1700 MW!

- Pressure reduction may be done by application of the turbo-expander. Direct coupling of a compressor can convert an obtainable drive moment to LNG production. Calculation shows by pressure reduction in studied case in certain GCS (in case 7million NCUM daily) we can produce 312 ton LNG per day by 330 days annual production.

Extensive investment and cooperation with Borna Electronics Company in the form of a consortium to equip a fourteen-member team of research, and various specialized activities, including study, production of basic knowledge, designing based on indigenous knowledge, and participation in the establishment of Fara Sanjesh Afzar Pardis (FARASA) Company (registered legally in 2015) along with full administration of the mechanical engineering phase of a project to design and provide prototypes of liquid and gas meters (12 versions of gas meters and 4 versions of liquid meters) with different sizes and applications
